It has arrived~!! All hail to Sinanju~!

Ladies & gentlemen, may I announce my first gunpla of 2009 is none other than Master Grade Sinanju Ver. Ka~!! It felt great and wonderful to start my 2009 with this super hot favourite. Enuf said, pictures for the new gunpla *_*
Holding this is like King Arthur holding the excalibur towards the light.. "I have the power~" (Oops.. that sounded more like He-man's quote.. lol)

A peek in the box...

Alright.. time for couple shot ^_^

Sinanju dominates in term of box size

Right, so now is to pen down in my book when to work on these.. XD

2008 4th Qtr Recap: Model Kit Build Completed

I haven't had the time to start working on my 1/100 00 Raiser yet, so I thought i might as well conclude my 2008 4th Qtr model kit build first.

I have not done any panel-lining for most so I'm not gonna do a detail review on each of them.

Recap of 2008: Top 10 Awards

Year 2008 was a good year for me, at least as a toy collector. I hereby wish to share this past year achievement with all of you in this "award" ceremony. XD
1) Most Dashing Award: Play Arts Final Fantasy VII Advent Children - Cloud Strife w/ Fenrir

For those FF fans out there, who can deny the coolness of Cloud on his Fenrir bike in "Advent Children" ;)
2) Most Exclusive Award: Transformers Alternators - Decepticon Rumble

This is a Wal-Mart exclusive piece that you can't find it anywhere in the local toy shop (correct me if I'm wrong). Rumble in the original Transformers series is actually a cassette tape warrior. In this alternate mode, he turns into a red hot Honda Civic Si.
3) Most Difficult-to-Get Award: Saint Seiya Myth Cloth - Final Bronze Cloth Andromeda Shun

Getting this baby has gotten me into a lot of trouble including searching every corner of the internet & toy shop, plus liaising with the seller. I took about 3 months to get my hands on this from the point of sale.
4) Most Adorable Award: Kaiyodo Revoltech - Danboard

Just look at this figurine, need I say more? (",)
5) Most Prized-Investment Award: Bandai Movie Realization - Batman & Bat-pod

This piece has received alot of controversies such as the batman figure depiction, etc. Nevertheless, due to the movie success of "Dark Knight", it still remain as one of the most sought-for toy with steady price appreciation.
6) Most value-for-money: Saint Seiya Myth Cloth - Poseidon Julian Solo

The God of the sea in Saint Seiya comes with the Poseidon Scales Armor, a red cape for the 'bling bling' armor, his most powerful trident, the royal throne & his alternate royal white clothing. What more can you ask for?
7) Most Touching-Moment Award: Bandai BB Senshi - BB#275 Musha Dragon Monk Nu

A little explanation is needed here for the questionable award title. This piece won the title purely because it concludes my conquest in completing my "Musha Retsuden" collection after so long. Touching~ T_T
8) Most Suprising Award: Bandai Macross Frontier - VF-25F Altoh Custom

The reason why this won the Most Suprising Award is because I never expect myself to acquire any mecha toy that is out of 1/100 scale, until I watched the entire series of Macross Frontier. The series is so great that I bought this 1/72 scale toy without hesitation.
9) Most Memorable Award: SOTA Toys - Street Fighters Vega

When I was young, my first interaction with fighting game was the "Street Fighters II". Of all the fighters in SF2, Vega is one of the most suave-looking yet mysteriously strong & agile character. I even remembered as a boy I even made his claw weapon out of "Pocky" biscuit box & straws. So much for the fun memories..
10) Most "Humongous" Award: Bandai Master Grade Gundam - Perfect Zeong

Definition for "Humongous" - Huge + Monstrous
Just look at the size of the box in contrast with my Gundam RX-78 ver 2.0. Hope i can squeeze some time in 2009 to complete this kit. XD

This concludes my 2008 Award Ceremony. I hope there's a 2009 award ceremony too. XD

An hour more to go before we cross over to 2009. I've just reached home and I waste no time taking picture of my fianl catch of the year, the OO Raiser.

The 1/100 00 Raiser contain the 00 Gundam, O Riser, & the Celestial Being display stand. The coolest part: Light-up GN drive~! *_*

Inside the box it includes a Gundam 00 series catalogue with all its merchandise toy. Sweet~
This concludes my 2008 catch. Hereby wishing everyone a happy new year and may everyone get what they wish for. ^_^

HG 1/100 V2 Gundam

It's about time i started posting on Gundam stuff. Let me start off with this gunpla that i acquired just 2 months ago. It's a High Grade 1/100 V2 Gundam produced in 2000. The reason why I'm getting this piece is because I waited too long for the MG version and I doubt that's gonna anytime soon. Another reason is that I only go for 1/100 scale model kit because they look better in my collection if all are of the same scale :D Perhaps I'll only go for other scales such as GP-03 Dendrobium, Freedom Meteor Unit, Dynames GN Arms & macross frontier goodies, provided if i got the munnies & space.

Alright enuff said. I only did panel lining and basic colouring with gundam markers over fold sticker areas. Bloody idiot when I got this piece they didn't include the fold sticker! Anyway not like I'm gonna use them in the first place.

Flying stance

Learning how to use adobe photoshop. When I'm done I'll then "photoshop" in the "V2 wings" for it. ^_^

Beam rifle stance

Beam sword stance

"Beam fan" stance :D

"Activate shield!"

"Activated! Finally.."

V2 Gundam has a core fighter with 2 attachments. Much similar to Force Impulse Gundam from "Gundam Seed Destiny" series. You can consider this as the precedent model for that concept.

Pilot: Uso Evin
A comparison with macross 7's VF-19 Fire Valkyrie. Although are 1/100 scale, their size differs significantly. V2 Gundam is considered the smallest in build as compared to the rest of the protagonist's gundam of the Gundam series.

I hope Bandai would give serious thoughts on giving this model kit an "MG" treatment. A V2 assault buster would be a tasty treat for all collectors. ^_^
